Learning by yourself is a good idea but learning as a group is even better. When you are working with a group each person should have the same goal. The major advantage in group work is the collective ideas that are possible to come up with is increased and there is less pressure. An engineering student can join various clubs on campus that involves their major but there are also honor societies dedicated to specific engineering disciplines. Here are a few of the honor societies.
