A little bit about EE

Electrical engineering (EE) mainly centers on work with electricity and magnetism to form devices circuits and many other things. This justifies why this field is so broad since electricity is everywhere in our lives. Electrical engineers jobs vary from constructing machines used in surgeries in hospitals, building circuits for computers, or even forming systems for cars and airplanes.
As Drexel University stated: "According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, electrical and electronics engineers hold about 300,000 jobs in the U.S. This number represents about 20% of the 1.5 million jobs held by engineers in the U.S." Many fields intertwines with it such as :
1- Telecommunications: communication and system design in telephony, satellite communication, broadcasting and more.
2-Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering: this formed from the intersection of engineering and life sciences. It includes design of diagnostic and therapeutic devices for clinical use and the design of prosthetic and implantable devices.

3- Energy and Electric Power: Power engineers handle energy generation through turbine, fuel, solar, and wind

  1. Very interesting to learn about another type of engineering, since my major is mechanical engineering, I didn't know much about electrical engineering or what the employment rates (20% is a great amount of jobs) , salaries, and such were for electrical engineering.
